A Concert on Many Levels
UPSTAIRS
The concert begins with an organ fanfare and prelude our magnificent Casavant organ in the high choir loft, followed by two brief works by Bach, a beautiful aria and, moving downstairs to the main level of the sanctuary, a work for keyboard. Americana choral work with fiddle is followed by a soaring operatic duet. A set of three exquisite choral works rounds out the music on that level.
Trent Whisenant, Organ
Trinity’s new Music Director, a skilled organist and choir director, and veteran of
church positions in Georgia, Indiana and New Jersey; a graduate of the University of
the South and Indiana University (Masters in Organ Performance).
Janet Pranschke, Soprano
Member of Trinity and soloist with the Trinity Singers; 35 years voice teacher at Wagner College, professional opera singer, President of New York Singing Teachers’ Assoc., current Director of St. Cecilia Music Society and Archivist for NYSTA.
Joseph Kubera, Piano
A friend of Trinity, recording artist, professional piano recitalist and chamber musician, interpreter of contemporary music, frequent guest musician.
Alyssa Meyers, Soprano
A friend of Trinity, professional vocal soloist, former event management professional with the Metropolitan Opera, founder/manager of Black Orchid Kitchen, regular collaborator with Trinity Singers.
Quincy Dover, Organ
A friend of Trinity, former Music Director, veteran church musician, improvisor-organist extraordinaire.
Valerie Reinertsen, Organ and Guest Conductor
A friend of Trinity, former Organist/Choir and Bell Choir Director at Trinity and at New Dorp Moravian Church, veteran church musician.
Sylvia Maisonet, Soprano
A friend of Trinity, professional singer, member of New York Philharmonic Chorus, section leader in the choir of the Church of the Heavenly Rest, voice teacher, frequent guest performer.
Ok Kyun Kang, Piano
Composer, music director and master collaborative musician, currently working at New York University and Barnard College/Columbia University, frequently heard on recitals on Staten Island with Anthony Turner.
Roger Wesby, Conductor
Member of Trinity and Trinity Singers, Chair of Worship, and Music, composer, arranger, former Director of Choral Activities and Vocal Studies at Wagner College.

The evening continues with sounds of classic and contemporary Jazz, Bossa Nova and R’n’B. Food and refreshments are provided. A cash bar is available. Exquisite live music is provided by the
