Hello! We are so glad you have found your way to Trinity Lutheran Church on Staten Island.
We are a vibrant, diverse Christian community where you can experience God's love, learn, and live out your faith in Jesus Christ in service to others.
We love music and the arts too. Our worship has a rich blend of classical, modern, Gospel and global music played on organ and piano, and sung by choirs, soloists, and you and me.
Learning is important to us too. We offer study opportunities for all ages.

Summer Workshops
Theme: “Diverse People. One Faith. Many Ministries. One Church”
Select Sundays, 12-1:15pm (except 8/2: starts immediately after church)
Workshop 1: One Faith: “Adult Confirmation 101,” Sun., 7/19
Pr. Stephanie leads a fast-paced workshop laying out some of the foundational theological understandings of our tradition, and presenting a new resource, a “Trinity Handbook,” with member-recommended Trinity’s 10 Essential Bible Passages and 10 Foundational Hymns, along with Luther’s small catechism and other handy background information.
Workshop 2: Diverse People: Table Conversations to Foster Connection,” Sun., 8/2, immediately after church during fellowship time
Join some fellowship-time fun! Select leaders will “host” you at their fellowship table with a special dessert and inviting you into deeper conversation with one another through a fun guided questions game (similar to our recent connect dinners). We are a congregation with people of diverse histories and experiences. Here is a chance to intentionally build connection and have fun doing it!
Workshop 3: Many Ministries: Engagement Workshop,” Sun., 8/16
Hear various members of Trinity share from a personal perspective why the ministry they do through Trinity is so meaningful for them and impactful for others. And learn how you can engage and support our various ministries—from choir and helping lead worship, to nuts and bolts operations and property management, leadership roles and financial support, and community ministries like Feeding with TLC and TICT. Come be inspired to engage and take action!
Workshop 4: One Church: Mutual Upbuilding through Shared Stories,” Sun., 8/30
Jesus is such a powerful, inspiring God building up the body of Christ in part because he tells such great stories—healing miracles, teaching parables, encouraging sermons. We want to follow Jesus lead and build up one another and our own congregation by sharing our personal faith stories. When was a time in your life when you feel you had a particularly powerful encounter or experience with God? Was there ever a time when you felt God was absent and you longed for God’s presence—what was going on in your life then? When have you experienced God’s love in action in the church and in the people you know from church? We will practice telling our stories to one another one-on-one and in small groups. The ultimate goal, over the next six months, is to collect 40 stories/short faith testimonials by us, Trinity members and friends, that we will combine and distribute in-house as a Lenten devotional for Trinity members to use during Lent 2027
