C3 and Stretto celebrate the vibrant colors and infectious rhythms of Latin America in a program that features the North American première of Roger Wesby's Misa mesotica, a masterpiece of Astor Piazzola, the genius of tango nuevo, the lonely spirit of the gaucho on the Venezuelan pampa captured in Antonio Estévez's Mata del anima sola,  and the vivacious joy of folk music from Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica, and the special flavors of Brazilian song and bossa nova. Featured collaborating musicians include Diane Perry, violin, Andy Graziano, guitar, and Jeremy Heuler, bass.
